Glass is an integral part of all DIY conservatories. You will typically have a lot more glass than you will have walls, since many designs have just a dwarf wall running along the base of the building.
It makes sense then to ensure you choose the right glass for your needs. When you are considering buying a flat pack kit from a manufacturer don’t be afraid to ask what kind of glass is supplied as standard.

DIY conservatories are becoming extremely popular as people realize how cost effective and easy to install they are. But some questions keep popping up with regard to construction. One of the most frequent ones concerns foundations.
Some people assume that because a DIY conservatory is of the ‘do it yourself’ variety, it doesn’t need proper foundations. But because the building is a permanent structure it needs a proper steel base just like any other permanent structure does.
